This One-Time Trademark Use Authorization Application is for those who want permission to use Rotary branding on merchandise just once. It is typically completed by members who need or want Rotary-branded items that are not already available through Rotary's licensed vendors. It may also be completed by manufacturers who seek one-time permission to produce Rotary-branded merchandise. (If you’re a manufacturer that seeks to become a licensed vendor, write to rilicensingservices@rotary.org.)

Rotary International owns numerous trademarks, trade names, and service marks, and we protect our brand by controlling their use around the world. We strongly encourage Rotary and Rotaract clubs, Rotary districts, members, and program participants to purchase Rotary-branded merchandise only from authorized licensees of Rotary International. If desired merchandise is not available from a licensed vendor, Rotary must approve any use of the Rotary Marks by an unlicensed company.

You will need to supply the following information:
  1. Your name and email address
  2. The Rotary Entity that wants the merchandise (for example, club name or district number)
  3. The name and contact information of the unlicensed company
  4. The type of item to be produced and the quantity
  5. The intended purpose of the items, including whether they will be sold
  6. The design or designs of the items to be produced
If you aren’t able to upload images of the designs, email them to rilicensingservices@rotary.org, and include the name of the company in the subject line.

Your application is not considered complete until we receive all of the required information, including the images of the designs.

If Rotary approves your request, we will email you a letter that grants the unlicensed company one-time authorization to produce the specific requested items only. This letter is provided in English only. If the unlicensed company or the Rotary Entity wishes to produce additional merchandise that uses Rotary's Marks, whether in the same design or a different one, a new form will need to be submitted.

Note that the review process typically takes five business days. If the submitted designs do not follow Rotary International's branding guidelines, we will ask you to make any adjustments that are necessary in order to comply with Rotary's brand policies. For more information, please consult the Rotary Brand Center.

Your privacy is important to Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation (collectively, “Rotary”), and the personal data you share with Rotary will be used only for official Rotary business and is subject to Rotary’s Privacy Policy. By submitting this application, you agree that any personal data provided may be used, stored, and shared within Rotary as necessary to complete our review of your application.
